This is another Scrambled Eggs And Buttermilk Biscuits Probability Games. I started making these a couple of months ago and they’ve been a big hit with the students.
SUPER FUN game!! Arrange students into groups of 2 to 6 players. Give each group of students a set of playing cards – one set of task cards and one set of problem cards – and a timer.
Player one will draw a problem card and all of the players in the group will solve the problem. The first player to correctly complete the problems gets to draw a card from the task pile. The task pile includes activities like “Names of Funny Movies”. The group will then set the timer to 15 seconds and begin passing the timer to each member of the group. When a member of the group has the timer, he/she must name a “Funny Movie” and then pass the timer. The player holding the timer when it buzzes keeps the “task” card.
Play continues until all problem cards are completed or until the teacher calls time. The winner of the game is the player with the fewest points.
This version of the probability games allows students to practice probability, factorials, permutations, combinations, and permutation notation. My students LOVE this game and I’ve found that it is a great way to review!!
